BEARS, the playful title track by Lyle Lovett sets the stage for more engaging Americana tunes by Paul Reisler and Claude Carmichael, and earthy Native American music by Mary Youngblood, Lawrence Laughing and Alice Gomez.

Superbly intertwined with Violaine Corradi's inventive score, the music reveals the mystery of BEARS, from their mythical past to their fragile future, in a unique and entertaining listening experience. With indigenous sounds, contemporary instrumental music and songs of Americana, this CD (50+ minutes) re-creates the drama of these extremely powerful and majestic animals.

*BEARS Original Soundtrack has won the Doris Day Music Award from the Sixteenth Annual GENESIS Awards. The GENESIS Awards honor select members of the news and entertainment media for exemplary accomplishments in spotlighting animal issues with creativity and integrity. Past Doris Day Music Award winners have included: Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, The Grateful Dead, John Denver and others. The Awards Show will be broadcast four times on national TV on the ANIMAL PLANET/DISCOVERY CHANNEL beginning May 18, 2002.

IMAX and other large format movie theaters around the world will be showing the BEARS film for several years in rotation. Check the Silver Wave Calendar page now to see if BEARS is showing in your city.
